Tweed Run Weather Update! (Its good news)
Just wanted to update everyone on the weather for this Saturday. I know we're still in the midsts of Hurican Sandy, but don't fret! Saturday is going to be sunny, clear skys and in the 50s, perfict weather for riding around the Star city in tweed.

2012 Roanoke Tweed Run route!
We're only a week away from this years Tweed Run! Don't let the upcoming storm scare you. We've been tracking the weather for a few weeks now and Sun and clear skys are on tab for this upcoming weekend.
This years route is approximately 5.2 miles through a large part of the Roanoke Green way and through downtown Roanoke. Another highlight is a short ride along the very cool Roanoke Railroad Walk where we will stop for our group photo. There is only minor hill to face this year, which is a bridge, and riding and crossing through active traffic will be very minimal. Don't worry though! We'll have our ride leaders helping people along the way and holding up cars so everyone makes it safely along the way. Click to see the map enlarged.

A husband/wife photojournalist team based in Christiansburg Virginia, they will be on site documenting the day and taking photos of each Tweed Run participants. August Update!
Happy August everyone!
I hope your all have already started working on Tweed Run outfit for November 3rd. We're in the works of getting some more details lined up, but we are happy to announce that Davidsons will be sponsoring prizes again this year. Also, Flannery's Pub and CUPS Coffee and Tea have also got back on board to host our start and finish of the ride.
We are planning a new, longer route this year. We'll be announcing that soon.
